There are so many things in life that seem to be a match made in heaven. There’s of course, peanut butter & jelly, chips & salsa, strawberries & cream, macaroni & cheese, and even pork chops & applesauce. Just out of curiosity, how many of you find yourselves being channeled by Peter Brady to say those last two in your best Jimmy Cagney, raspy staccato and all? I must admit, it happens to me too every time.

Well, another pairing that can be absolutely sublime (if done so properly) is wine and chocolate – though many will argue that chocolate is heavenly in any way, shape or form. So for all of you chocolate (and wine) lovers out there, a special event is taking place this weekend at Old World Village in Huntington Beach that’s sure to satisfy every inch of your palate.

The Old World Village Chocolate and Wine Festival provides something for just about everyone with chocolatiers, bakers, candy makers and wine vendors on hand for special tastings, plus arts & crafts and gift vendors for your shopping enjoyment too.

While the festival arrives just in time for Valentine’s Day, there’s really no occasion necessary to join in the fun, satisfy your sweet tooth and learn a thing or two about the marriage of wine and chocolate.

Other highlights of the weekend event will include live entertainment, food vendors, a wine garden and raffles for exciting prizes. Both general admission and parking are free and festival hours are on Saturday, February 11 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, February 12 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Old World is a unique Shopping, Dining, Art & Entertainment Center also known for its Oktoberfest & Dachshund Races and is located at 7561 Center Avenue in Huntington Beach (just off the 405 freeway).
